All though all of us get stressed out at some point in time in our lives, however if stress and irritation is causing problems like chest pain and panic, then its quite likely that you are suffering from anxiety attacks. 1. Generalized anxiety disorder
In a nutshell, generalized anxiety disorder would be defining the patient as a chronic worrywart. 3. Phobia
Many people are well aware of phobia, but do not realize that it is a form of anxiety. This is an unrealistic fear of a particular object, activity or situation that really has little or no danger whatsoever to you. Some of the more common fears include snakes, flying, and the fear of heights.
4. Social anxiety disorder
This disorder makes you quite paranoid of being amongst people and the fear of getting embarrassed in public is quite paramount. Though many people may just dismiss or even call the person intensely shy; the fact of the matter is that it is a disorder.
5. Obsessive compulsive disorder
Popularly known as OCD, Obsessive-compulsive disorder is defined by uncontrollable behaviors or thoughts. People with OCD have fixations like keeping the things at their exact place or even constantly checking whether the door is locked or not or other compulsions which they are not able to control.
6. Post-traumatic stress disorder
Lastly you have the post-traumatic stress disorder. The onset of this disorder generally follows a life threatening event or a harrowing event. The main or the well known symptoms of this disorder are avoidance of situations which remind you of the tragedy, nightmares and flashbacks.

Some of them are easily dismissed by people and are not even thought of as disorders while the others like OCD and phobia are well known.
